Printlogic - 25 Years in Print Management

Built in 2001 by a founder who understood the print industry. Independently owned ever since. No acquisitions, no investors, no agenda beyond making print businesses run better.

In 2001, a printer asked Geoff - Printlogic's founder - for estimating software. The available options cost more than the business could justify. Geoff built one instead. He put it in the cloud from day one, which was an unusual choice for print software at the time. That first customer is still using Printlogic today.

The system grew from there. Each new customer needed something the previous one hadn't asked for - purchase orders, stock control, invoicing, Web2Print. Geoff and the team built what was needed. The product grew because the customers asked for it, not because a product roadmap was drafted in a boardroom.

Twenty-five years later, Printlogic covers the full print workflow - estimating, job management, production scheduling, Web2Print, invoicing, and integrations with every major accounting platform. The team is still based in Ireland. The product is still independently owned. The approach hasn't changed.

How Printlogic grew

  1. 2001

A printer Geoff knew couldn't afford the estimating software on the market. Geoff built him something better - a cloud-based print estimating system, accessed through a browser, with no installation and no on-premise server. It was an unusual approach for print software in 2001. That first customer signed up and never left.

  2. 2002–2008

Geoff sold Printlogic to a small number of print businesses. Each one had a request: can it do purchase orders? Can it handle stock? Can it produce job sheets? The system grew with each customer. The team stayed small. There was no investor roadmap - just a phone that rang with the next thing the industry needed.

  3. 2009

Mairead joined. She changed how Printlogic sold. Before Mairead, selling meant travelling - driving to prospects, visiting sites, spending days on the road for a handful of meetings. Mairead moved everything to the phone and the screen. Prospects were qualified by call, demos happened online, and Printlogic could reach far more customers without anyone leaving Dublin. The sales model that Printlogic still uses today is the one Mairead built.

  4. 2010

Philip joined as a developer. The engineering team had room to grow. Faster releases. More integrations. More of what customers were asking for.

  5. 2014

Anna joined the sales team. She runs the same remote demo model Mairead built - talking to print businesses across the UK, Ireland, and further afield every day. She also feeds product decisions with what she hears on those calls.

  6. 2016

Joe joined. His background is in production - bindery, estimating, scheduling, press work. He knows how a print floor operates from the inside. That knowledge goes into how Printlogic is configured, demonstrated, and supported.

  7. 2010s onward

Printlogic started signing customers in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa as the platform matured to handle different currencies, tax rules, and carrier integrations. International customers are now a core part of the business - not an afterthought.

  8. Present

Printlogic today covers estimating, job management, production scheduling, Web2Print, invoicing, print broker management, and integrations with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, MYOB, DPD, FedEx, UPS, and more. The same team that built it still runs it. The same approach - build what customers need, own the product, don't sell out - still applies.

FAQs

Short answers before you open a pricing page or integration guide.

Printlogic is the cloud print MIS Wildcard Software sells-it holds estimating, jobs, production scheduling, inventory, invoicing, Web2Print, and integrations in one tenant-wide record for printers and brokers.

Yes. Printlogic pushes invoice and debtor data into Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, MYOB, and related tools-see the integrations hub for the full connector list.

Most Printlogic customers go live in two to four weeks, depending on template depth, how many integrations you switch on, and how much history Wildcard Software imports. Expect separate training blocks for estimators, customer service, production, and finance rather than a single cutover day.
